Bike trails

Our trails are expanding mountain bike offerings in the Ottawa’s west end and providing a direct connection to existing trail networks.

Wesley Clover Parks backs onto Watts Creek Pathway, a 9.3-kilometre trail that connects to the Greenbelt Pathway West and Kichi Zībī Mīkan (previously known as the Sir John A. Macdonald Parkway) and is part of the Trans Canada Trail. The asphalt surface makes it ideal for cycling, starting on this path you can bike to Parliament Hill in about one hour! We recommend parking and starting your adventure at the NCC Greenbelt P3 on Corkstown Road.

In 2022, Bakker’s Trailblazers partnered with Wesley Clover Parks to open up our existing trail network for year-round maintained use with the introduction of mountain bike race events. The Bakker’s team now hosts a mountain bike race series that is inclusive to all experience levels and ages.

  • Twilight MTB Race Series.

The Trek Twilight Race Series powered by Bushtukah is a 4 race event organized by our partners at Bakker’s Trailblazers. The intent of the series is to encourage mountain biking participation in the Ottawa area. It offers 3 different courses ranging in difficulty from novice to advanced. As much as there will be timed results, Bakker's Trailblazers is primarily seeking rider skill and fitness development throughout the summer!

  • Greenbelt Trails.

Wesley Clover Parks backs onto Watts Creek Pathway, a 9.3-kilometre trail that connects to the Greenbelt Pathway West and is part of the Trans Canada Trail. Our location within the Greenbelt Pathway West also serves as an excellent starting point for beautiful walks and hikes, this pathway stretches over 21 kilometres. For public parking trail access we recommend starting your adventure at NCC Greenbelt P3 on Corkstown Road.

  • Growth of Multi-Use Trails.

In an effort to expand mountain bike offerings available in the Ottawa area, we hope to continue growing the multi-use trail network in the forested part of the Wesley Clover Parks Campground. We’re always looking for new ways to insipire outdoor recreation and connect residents and visitors to the outdoors!
